It’s only been a couple of months since I started as the new editor and publisher of the Presbyterian Outlook, but I already love my job. The Outlook staff is talented, hard-working and unwavering in their commitment to serving the church. The board is active, encouraging and forward thinking. Our readers are loyal, interested and engaged. I couldn’t feel more blessed to be on the Outlook team.
The current market is stressful for any publication, but I believe that the Outlook’s 200-year legacy of prophetic witness is just as relevant as ever. In this new season at the Outlook, we are reviewing our work processes and systems to ensure our small staff can effectively and efficiently offer the timely, relevant and smart content our followers have come to expect of us and deserve. We’re embracing new technology and upping our digital game. We’re reaching out to a younger audience through social media and seeking ways to amplify diverse voices. Our goal with these efforts is to faithfully enhance and expand our mission — to encourage the open exchange of ideas, to network and support the diverse ministries of our church and to equip Presbyterians for transformative work in their neighborhoods and beyond.
As the only independent publication of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), the Outlook depends upon the generosity of donors to support our mission and ministry. If you are able, would you consider donating today?
